Compliance Officer

Skye is on the lookout for a Compliance Officer to join our team 3 days per week. As our Compliance Officer you will play a critical part in ensuring our financial planning services meet all the compliance and regulatory requirements, whilst contributing to the growth and success of Skye Wealth. 

What you’ll do:

  • Providing training and support to the Skye Wealth team to help develop further knowledge and meet compliance obligations.

  • Prepare and maintain required compliance reports.

  • Reviewing financial plans and client files to ensure we adhere to all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.

  • Conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues.

  • Work with the greater team to make recommendations on process improvements.

  • Stay up to date with changes to financial services regulations and industry best practices.

  • Ad hoc duties as required.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a regulatory compliance focused role.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Accounting, Business, Finance or related).

  • Strong technical and working knowledge of compliance framework, principles, privacy obligations and the Australian regulatory landscape.

  • Prior experience with complaints ASIC, AFCA reporting, complaints management and Hardship not essential but highly regarded.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex compliance information to the greater team.

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
