Skye Wealth’s licensee changes and what they mean for you
At Skye Wealth, we strive to provide the best financial planning advice to our clients. We're excited to announce that we've recently changed our licensee from Synchron to become self-licensed! We understand that you may have some questions about what this change means for you. So we've compiled some questions we've received about our licensee change:
1. What does it mean that Skye Wealth changed licensees to become self-licensed?
Previously, we were licensed under Synchron's Australian Financial Services License (AFSL). By becoming self-licensed, we now hold our own AFSL, which means we're now directly accountable for providing you with financial advice. Our new licensee name is Skye Money and we will be 100% responsible for providing you with all future financial advice.
2. Will there be any changes to the financial advice I receive?
No, there won't be any changes to the financial advice you receive. The same financial advisers you have worked with in the past will continue to provide you with advice.
3. Will my insurance policies be affected by the change in licensees?
No, your insurance policies will not be affected by the change in licensees. All of your policies will remain with the current insurance companies, and we will continue to provide the same level of service and advice.
4. Do I need to take any action, such as signing new documents or providing new information?
No, you don't need to take any action. We've already handled everything on our end, so no need for you to worry about paperwork or forms.
5. What are the benefits of Skye Wealth being a self-licensed financial planning business?
Being self-licensed allows us to be more flexible when it comes to the way in which we want to provide our advice and our overall client experience. Plus, we have more freedom when it comes to our branding and how we organise our documents— hopefully less words and more images!
6. Will the fees for the financial planning services change?
No, there won't be any changes to our financial planning service fees. Our fee structure's staying put, and we're committed to keeping things transparent and upfront for you.
7. What will happen to my ongoing financial advice?
Your ongoing financial advice will continue as usual. No need to worry about any interruptions, we'll be here to provide the same great service you've come to know and trust.
8. How long has Skye Wealth been working towards becoming self-licensed?
We've been working towards becoming self-licensed for a few months, and we're proud to have finally achieved this goal. This change will allow us to better serve you, our clients, and provide tailored financial planning advice that meets your unique needs.
At Skye Wealth, we believe in providing transparent and honest communication with our clients. We hope this has answered any questions you may have had about our recent licensee change. If you have any more questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help!
